Crescent is intended for a mature audience and is not appropriate for listeners under 17 years of age. Listener discretion is strongly advised.

Some places are far darker than deep space. Places where the shadows smile. Where men go mad and lovers go missing. Where reality is stretched thin and something hungry is waiting just outside the corner of your eye.

Turn out the lights, take a deep breath, and dare to visit one of these places.

Crescent is dark science fiction at it's most visceral. Phil Rossi weaves a tale that is reminiscent of old school Stephen King but with a shiny, new set of tricks and an appetite to terrify. There's sex. There's corruption. There's horror. And after you sweat your way through the first chapter, there's plenty more to keep you awake at night.

Find out why Crescent is one of the fastest growing podcast novel sensations to date.

Crescent has been listed as "What's Hot" on the iTunes Music Store Homepage, a featured iTunes Literature podcast, in iTunes Top 25 Literature Podcasts, in the Podiobooks Top 10, as well as appeared in the Loudoun Times, in On Tap Magazine, on Dragon Page Cover to Cover, Scott Sigler's Bloodcast and more.

Episode 11: Crescent - Part 11
It wanted Marisa to look at it. To touch it. The goddamn thing thrummed every time she neared the place where she had concealed it. The hiding spot was foolish and it made her laugh. After all, only six year olds and cats hide shit underneath furniture. But that was the spot. Marisa didn't know why. It probably didn't even fucking matter.

My treat for you this week

I had the honor of reading a Matt Wallace short story for Pseudopod. So you see, it's not like I totally took the week off. Go check it out. Thanks to Ben Phillips and Mur Lafferty (and you too, Steve Eley) for the invite!

The lack of episode this week has nothing to do with cavorting with Britney and Angelina.

Episode 10: Crescent - Part 10
The Crescent botanical garden was housed in an expansive atrium filled with vibrant, green foliage. Artificial sunlight leaked around thick, obscuring leaves of rubber tree plants that reached all the way to the glass ceiling. Hidden nozzles sprayed cool mist that clung to the greenery as trembling beads. Gerald seemed to get caught by the nozzles just as they would go active and, as a result, was getting fairly moist.

Episode 9: Crescent - Part 9
Nigel Swaren wiped his hand across the mirror, leaving a wide streak in the condensation. He tilted his chin up and turned his head first to the left and then to the right. His stubble was shaved down low, but Nigel was cursed with a beard that grew like hellfire. In half-a-day, the shadow would be dark again.

Crescent goes to Origins

Crescent will be at Origins this week, thanks to uber-fan, Bill Segulin. If you run into Bill, buy him a drink, for he is the shit. Bill printed a bunch of CDs and those fine looking inserts you see above. Bill--I totally appreciate your efforts in spreading Crescent.

Crescent has been hanging at #2 on Podiobooks Top 10, second only to Mur Lafferty, herself.
